If you randomly pull out the cord without disconnecting in Windows then your memory card becomes currupted.ģ) Make sure you don't have any of the Sony Phone manager programs installed on your computer (came on the Sony CD with your phone), as they always start up once it's connected and screw up the process.Ĥ) Try using the Gordon's Gate usb drivers, as those worked the best for me, and I can even connect my phone to my comp afterwards to transfer stuff without installing the Sony Connect sw (Although i have had trouble transferring by Bluetooth when the Sony Phone connect sw is not installed).
A few notes:ġ) Make sure you phone is charged 100%, it makes things less complicated.Ģ) Make sure the SIM and Memory card are removed, cause you sim holds your carrier specific details, and the memory card is sensitive to the connecting of you phone to comp. MY only suggestion is to start over from scratch with the proper files and using JDFlash. Don't pannick when you first see it, as the tutorial posted does a really good job walking you thru it. You can only flash a CID53 phone with JDFlash. It contains links to all the files needed, as well as links to download FarManager with the JDFlash plugin already installed. I followed the link from Gerry that points to Wilmero's post, and that's the exact one I used to do mine successfully.
